TRÉMEUR “TRAY” DUCHAINE is a Louisiana Bureau of Investigation agent who is exceptional at his job, but for reasons beyond the ordinary.  Haunted by a viral infection from  

his early years, let’s just say his investigative skills, supernatural skills even, are most utilized at night, with daytime no longer an ally.  Tray is not alone in his fate, however; his entire Vampyrian community shares in his predicament. “Vs” are what they are nicknamed, and their reentry into society is in large part dependent upon Tray’s  success. Along with his new non-V partner, Tray untangles a web of secrets tying his own community to a rapid string of heinous murders, their efforts suddenly in jeopardy.  Tables turn when both Tray and the woman he loves, also a non-V, are caught in the web’s center, Tray being the one framed for the most gut-wrenching murder of them all.  Now on the run, straddled between humanity and post-humanity, his quest for innocence begins.

But with help from loved ones, she discovers how to navigate this thing called life.  Yet things spiral out of control when one of those loved ones is abducted, taking Roberta on an adventure that uncovers secrets of international proportions. Meanwhile, only saving her friend will make Roberta complete, but she has to call on something far more than humanity to do so; a killing machine is needed, and Roberta comes ready-made.
